Background

About

I'm a UX and product design leader based in St. Louis with more than 20 years of experience working across consulting, enterprise, startup, and SaaS environments. Most of my work has focused on enterprise platforms, design systems, workflow design, and research for products that support complex operational or business decisions.

My background spans UX research, service design, interaction design, product strategy, branding, and front-end collaboration. I also spent years founding and running an interactive agency, leading branding, digital strategy, and product design projects for a wide range of clients. That experience shaped how I think about communication, business goals, and the relationship between brand and product experience.

I've led projects for Fortune 500 organizations, startups, and internal product teams where design needed to work across engineering, product, leadership, and operations at the same time. I tend to approach design as a systems problem rather than a visual exercise. The goal is usually reducing friction, helping users make better decisions, and building products that feel understandable even when the underlying business logic is complicated.

Before design leadership became the focus, I worked directly in front-end and application development, and that technical background still shapes how I work with engineering teams today. I care a lot about design systems, implementation realities, and building products that can scale without becoming harder to maintain over time.

Leadership has been a large part of my work over the last several years. At PepsiCo I helped grow the service design organization and contributed to the company's first enterprise dashboard design system supporting multiple internal AI-powered platforms. Across projects I've led discovery efforts, design teams, stakeholder workshops, and cross-functional initiatives focused on turning ambiguous problems into practical product direction.
